The Dargle valley provides habitats and breeding grounds for over 200 bird species including Cape Parrots, Crowned, Wattled and Blue Cranes, White-Starred Robin, Olive Woodpecker, African Spoonbill, Emerald Cuckoo, African Grass Owl, Crowned Eagle, Southern Black Flycatcher, Buff Spotted Flufftail, Knysna Touraco, Narina Trogon, Ground Woodpecker,Cape Batis, African Jacana & Ground Hornbill.
